RARE OLD VINTAGE UNBRANDED MEXICAN STERLING SILVER & GOLD(?) MODERATE SIZED HAND ENGRAVED WESTERN HORSE HEAD COWBOY STYLE BELT BUCKLE—-
This pre-owned and many decades old sterling silver belt buckle was hallmarked “MEXICO STERLING” together with a sack image containing a number that appears to be 214. It might indicate gold content on the horse head...gold plating, bonding, or filling. We are not certain, but the horse head
does give that appearance. We have not tested the horse head metal. Overall, this is a BEAUTIFUL vintage buckle in very nice and fully functional condition that will be a treasured accessory for a lifetime.  Measures 2 5/8” x 1 7/8”, fits belts up to 1 3/8” wide and weighs about 60 grams or 2.2 ounces. Also notice that it features a secure latch style clasp, which was commonly used on 1960’s era high quality western belt buckles.
