Rare Vintage International China Stoneware MARMALADE 2Qt Oval Covered Casserole Geese and Pear with Blue Ribbon. Condition is "Used". This oval casserole is in excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks or fading. There is some crazing in the lid but no damage.
The casserole measures about 9.5” long (12” with handles) 6.75” wide, 3.75” deep (5” tall with lid cover) It is rare to find the casserole in the oval shape since most are round. This piece is the trademark speckled ivory color with geese tying a blue ribbon onto a pinkish red pear with other geese carrying a strawberry and a cherry. It has sculpted flared handles with a blue stripe around the rim. Made in Japan by the International China Company, it is stoneware in the Marmalade Pattern.
