A free advertising premium from Garrett, Miller & Co. in Wilmington, DE., this unused ink blotter is decorated with an image of a telephone battery and is inscribed "Columbia Dry Cells No other dry battery costs so little per day as the Columbia.  No other battery manufacturer will go up against the following proposition: "Divide the cost of the Columbia cell by the number of days' service it gives you, then do likewise with any other cell."  The blotter measures about 3 in. tall by 6 in. wide and is in good condition with some minor corner wear and some foxing and discoloration.
