    Vintage Republican Primary Ink Blotter
    for
    Anton J. Lund!
    This “
    Vote Republican
    ” ink blotter measures about 5¼” x 3¼”. It is for the
    June 4th 1946
    primary election for the
    Woodbridge Township
    (New Jersey) town council. Anton Lund won over Charles Germain in this primary for Republican nomination in Woodbridge’s Second Ward (Fords, Hopelawn, and Keasbey). I do not know if he went on to win the fall election. As shown in the scans, the ink blotter is in very good condition for its age with very little wear. It has no blotting, writing, rips or tears and very little edge/corner wear… at most there is one small light crease on the blotter. This rare vintage political campaign ink blotter would make a great addition to your collection!
