Presco Underground Detectable Warning Tape is a NON-ADHESIVE 5-mil thick reinforced tape used by professionals in safety, construction, mining, hardware, utilities, and many other industries. Available in 3-inch and 6-inch wide x 1000 foot rolls, this tape can quickly and easily be placed to provide warning of hazardous or dangerous situations on construction sites; road repairs; buried pipes, wires, cables; and more.
Presco Underground Detectable Warning Tape is primarily used for accurately locating and preventing damage to valuable underground utility installations. It has an aluminum backing to make underground assets easy to find using a non-ferrous locator. Properly installed, Presco Underground Detectable tape helps avoid catastrophically inaccurate digging when locating utilities such as electrical lines, gas pipes and communication cables.
Presco Detectable Underground Warning Tape is a specially laminated PET / foil / poly blend. The blend (with polyester) provides exceptional strength characteristics when compared to other all polyethylene type detectable warning tapes. The bold black message on its American Public Works Association (APWA) color-coded background is treated to not degrade or fade when exposed to alkalis, acids and or any other destructive underground elements.
Product features include endures temperatures from -60F to 250F, permanently imprinted with black ink, and made with a durable laminate construction. Please note that Presco Underground Detectable Warning Tape can be shipped on a non-branded neutral core or a Presco branded core.
