This pretty cowgirl is "BRONCO BESTED" and is a risque and spectacular piece by pin up artist ELVGREN.
Produced in the 1960s for LA BELLE SHEET METAL this Brown & Bigelow pin up
blotter
was given away as an Advertising Premium.
It is in first class condition for its age and rarity with some minor curving and edgew
ear to mar its perfection. Most interesting is the error on the back - it is missing the black circles including the "confidence" message that these blotters were known for. There are faint impressions where the lettering should be, making this particular blotter among the rarest indeed.
The blotter measures 4" wide by 9" tall and the artwork itself measures 3" x 3 7/8". This particular pin up is among the rarest of the Elvgren designs.
