    Description

Old 1931 Prohibition Whiskey Prescription Doctor's Stub DEA Bar Carrollton OH
    Welcome
    &
Thank You for Shopping In the USA!
A great original doctor's Prohibition prescription stub for Spirits Frumenti, also known as Whiskey! This was retained by the doctor and was open to inspection by Federal Officers (please read red text at bottom of script)! Not many of the scripts had the "Federal Officers" directive printed at the bottom!
From the days of Al Capone, speakeasies and moonshine this was the only legal way to drink liquor in the US!
The whiskey was prescribed for H. C. Harsh, of Harlem Springs, OH, by Dr. J. J. Hathaway, of Carrollton, OH, on December 18, 1931. It was issued by the Treasury Department and when held to the light, PROHIBITION is partially watermarked.
The prescription stub measures 4 1/2" by 3", has light age toning (not pure white), otherwise condition is excellent...a great medicinal whiskey prescription stub from the Prohibition!
This is a fantastic piece of history and would be great to display in a pharmacy, museum, bar or office! I am happy to answer any questions, please feel free to email and thank you for your interest!
All items ship within 24 hours of payment and I will contact you upon notification of purchase!
