    Description

    Germany, Wiemar Republic, 3 Marks 1930-A, KM-37/J-342. An original specimen of the Commemorative struck to honor the "Weltflug" (World Flight) of the famous Graf Zeppelin in 1929. Gem Uncirculated, certified PCGS MS-65.  Moderate toning does not hide the bright luster underneath.  The toning is the result of years spent saved as a souvenir in a small paperboard box - apparently this was sold by a European coin dealer in the box.  Unfortunately, coin & box have become separated since I certified this piece.
    I have included additional images taken prior to certification as they show the surfaces better than those taken of the medal in the slab.
