Product Description:
This is a
pack of 6
metric M6x1.0 top lock flange nuts
for various automotive, industrial, or general applications requiring a metric M6x1.0 thread pitch locking style nut.  Self-locking nuts are useful for applications subject to vibration where a regular non-locking nut may come loose. These nuts feature a self-locking "oval" shaped design, so when fastened by hand, they will stop when they reach the oval locking portion.  You will then need a 10mm wrench or socket to fasten it further, at which point it will "lock" in place.  The flange base is non-serrated, with a base diameter of ~13.8mm (manufacturer describes it as a 13mm).  The height of the nut is 6.1mm, and the hex portion is 10mm. These are premium quality, 8.8 grade, zinc dichromate nuts.
