1989 Land Rover Defender

Relisting due to previous bidder's change in circumstance.
This 1989 Land Rover 90 2.5 turbo diesel has only covered an exceptionally low 58k miles in 32 years.
2 owners between 1989 and 2020. I purchased the vehicle last year in the UK during lockdown and used it as a daily driver. Late 2020 I imported it to the port of Jacksonville and drove it 400 miles to Miami where it was registered and titled. Definitely gets a lot of attention!
Mechanically, a Land Rover specialist has been through the entire vehicle. Anything needing done was done to bring it up to the standard I wanted. A recent move to Los Angeles makes it impractical to keep her.
Work done is not limited to, but would include;
Rear shocks
Front drive shaft - Differential to right wheel.
Rear prop shaft and universal joints - Transfer box to rear differential.
Radius arm bushes
Rear heated window replaced (original scratched by wiper arm.)
Transfer box seal
Pinion seal
Starter motor
Timing belt
Alternator belt
P/S belt
Front windscreen seal
Front wheel bearings adjusted
Oil pressure switch.
Rear brake cylinder.
Fuel level sender.
Bulkhead vent seals.
Bulkhead vent split pins switched to stainless bolts.
Rear door hinge pins and brass spheres replaced. No sag in rear door.
Chassis thoroughly cleaned, dried and undersealed.
Side steps and rear benches added.
New headliner.
All dash electrics gone through - everything works.
Seat box covering by Lucari
Gearbox tunnel covering
Seat reupholstered
Seat frames and rails restored.
The vehicle has been kept as original as possible. Finished in refreshed Arles blue with original steel wheels. There is no checker plate covering corrosion. Ready for the trails!
Inspection history (required by UK law each year) verifies the mileage and also indicates the vehicles was not used on public roads for the first 21 years of its life. It also indicates that all lights, brakes, emissions etc. have been checked.
This vehicle has covered less than 2000 miles per year.
Vehicle comes with 3 sets of keys, Florida title, import paperwork, receipts for recent work, original hi-lift jack and a car cover.
Original manual, service book and Land Rover folder (these don't usually survive) also included, showing correct Vin and Engine numbers.
