In 1948, Jackie Robinson began his second season as a major league baseball player.
That year, shortly before Robinson and the Brooklyn Dodgers arrived in town, Cincinnati mayor Albert Cash organized the "Friendly Relations Committee (FRC)."
Mayor Cash tasked the FRC with creating posters promoting racial and religious harmony.
When Robinson arrived in Cincinnati, Mayor Cash arranged for him to be photographed with Jewish Reds player Danny Litwhiler as they contemplated one of the FRC's posters.
This blotter's artwork is based on the FRC poster Robinson was photographed with.
