The current coin lists as: 3 Reichsmark coin minted in Berlin for the 1,000 year anniversary of the founding of Nordhausen. The first historical mention of this city was as a settlement in AD 927 as the site of a castle on the Zorge River. The town flourished and became a free imperial city in AD 1290, but lost its independence when it was annexed into Prussia in 1802.
The coin's obverse design depicts King and Queen (Heinrich I. and Mathilde) facing each other divided by the city's coat of arms. The edge features wording which reads, "einigkeit und recht und freiheit," or "Unity and Justice and Freedom;" the first five words of the current German National Anthem. The reverse of the coin lists the coin's country of origin and value.

Accurate Grading
Of course grading is subjective, it is simply an opinion. You know, everyone has one. We grade strictly in accordance with the ANA Grading Standard. Our Chief Grader, Bill, finished in the top of the ANA Summer Seminar Advanced Grading Class. Jason was top of his class in the ANA Paper Currency Grading Class. Both classes were taught by senior 3rd Party Grading Company employees.

Please note that we have a retail coin shop, an ecommerce site, and attend an average of two shows a month. Sometimes our inventory gets sold locally and we forget to remove it from eBay. If that happens, we will readily refund your money. We are literally a small mom and pop type business. Bill and Jason own it and do the grading and business management. Bill's wife, April, and Jason's mom manage the shop.

Most of our listings have free shipping. Please bear in mind that our postal charges include actual postage costs and packaging which is AT LEAST per package. We do not ship internationally, as we had too many "lost packages".

We normally ship your order via First Class Mail the day after you pay. If your item is in one of our remote shops, there may be a 2 day delay to ship. Once your order has shipped, the tracking information will be automatically uploaded into your paypal account. Your item will probably take 5 days for delivery. We ship thousands of coins a year, about 2% take up to 3-4 weeks. USPS will NOT update the item location in transit, do not expect them to. If the item is lost in the mail (this happens in less than 1% of shipments) we will refund your purchase price. We abide by the USPS definition for a lost item: "not delivered within 30 days of shipment".
