1920's "Hertz Drive-Ur-Self Stations" Adv. Ink Blotter / Ann, Arbor, Michigan

Hertz Car Rentals began with just 12 Ford Model T's and a shop in Chicago in 1918.  By 1925 they had gone nation wide and I believe that this blotter dates back to just about that point in time.  The blotter gives the 311 Maynard Street location in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and also points out the locations of other "Drive-Ur-Self" locations in many of the other major cities in Michigan and Northern Indiana as well.  The blotters are all in very good condition, but they do show various minor signs of age, with some minor soiling or spotting, as well as occasional light creasing in the corners.  They have no ink stains however, so they have never been technically "used".  They have very strong color and text and would great in a nice black frame, but that's just my opinion.
I picked up about six or seven of these great little ink blotters at an estate auction several years ago and it's time for me to let some of them go.  You are bidding on the one that's shown in the photos which measures 3" x 8".  Each blotter will sent in an archival sleeve, securely backed to masonite, and shipped in a larger rigid mailer to prevent getting bent or damaged while in route to the buyer. That should explain the shipping cost hopefullly.  If not, message us with any questions and we'll be happy to explain the costs.
